Since the founding of the Alleghany Highlands Genealogical Society in 1991, volunteers have been a constant presence and offered support to researchers.
Due to the generosity of their time and effort over the years, Alleghany Highlands researchers have been given access to hundreds of church, family bible, newspaper and vital record sources.
